THE PRINT - This is an original vintage bookplate print from 1972. The color of each print appears as if tea stained. Truly beautiful tones for anyone who loves the weight and expressiveness of aged paper. It's an incredible work of art for those who connect with the impressive and dynamic culture of Native Americans.
OUR STORY - It all started with one box of prints at an estate sale. After decades of dedicated searching and preservation, we are honored to be the largest known trust of Edward Curtis' early 1970's bookplate prints and offer over 160 works from his impressive collection. Be sure to check our shop for other images from this series as well as an alternative sizing to this offering.
YOUR PURCHASE MAKES A DIFFERENCE - To honor and ensure the continued protection of the remaining lands of these amazing tribes, we donate a portion of each print's proceeds to charities preserving Native American lands and cultural past times. We also foster sustainable practices (biodegradable & recycled packaging materials) in delivering these prints to their new homes so that we honor and ensure the continued protection of our remaining wilderness.
THINGS TO NOTE - Things age and become exceptional - just as we do and will show degrees of wear. Our prints may appear darker or lighter than the examples shown as each printing was a unique process. Each print will have imperfections such as age spots, fading, dis-colorization, small variances in the printing process, small tears, dents, glue residue, folds, slight size variations, etc. The top of the print may show a roughhewn edge as some where was once bound together in a book format and the reverse side is blank (except for the title of opposing page's image).
